Animal models and translational medicine

Animal models for Alzheimers disease is important to consider the human phenotype and what is being demonstrated regarding the animal phenotype. Bradley Hyman, Faculty of neuroscience at Harvard Medical School, said that animal models of Alzheimer’s disease, based on the genetics of the disease and the closely related frontotemporal dementia, replicate at least some of the pathology. Analysts have been effective at demonstrating quite certain parts of Alzheimer's illness in the mouse (e.g., plaques, tangles).
